IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — Amber Beck is a woman of many talents.
As a local realtor, mother, bee keeper, gardener, Beck also is a lifelong singer.
“What got me into music was a gift from God,” Amber Beck, local realtor, bee keeper and singer, told KID NewsRadio. “I sang my entire life and ever since I was a little girl, but I went through a period of time where I didn’t sing. You know, my sister and I sang together, we had a manager, we traveled all over, you know, when I was young, unmarried, no children, then I quit.”
Beck says she didn’t sing for at least two years until she was asked to sing at two events.
“I was asked to sing at a wedding and a funeral, right near each other and I was petrified,” Beck said. “I’d developed stage fright, I didn’t think I could do it.”
In approaching her dad for advice, Beck said her father told her she needed to share her gift of music with others. With that perspective in mind, she decided she would try singing again.
“I was able to push through and start sharing my gift again,” Beck said. “I just think, everybody has their own unique gift and it’s intended to be shared. So, develop that and share it and hopefully everybody will enjoy it and you can affect people in a positive way.”
