Fort Hall Crash Claims Two Lives

A Fort Hall Reservation crash has claimed the lives of a woman and her infant son on Tuesday afternoon. Two others were also injured in the incident.

According to the Idaho State Journal, authorities did not release the names of the victims, but according to obituaries submitted to the Journal, the crash claimed the lives of Raven A. Beasley, 27, and her son, Thayne N. Beasley, who was 9 months old.

The crash occurred on Sands Road, north of Simplot Road, shortly before 3 p.m., and involved a southbound potato truck, registered to M&M Farms, and a northbound 2003 GMC Yukon, which belonged to a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, according to a news release. There was one occupant in the truck and four in the GMC.

According to her obituary, Raven, who was driving the GMC, died from her injuries after she was transported to a Salt Lake City hospital. Thayne died at the scene of the accident.

 The GMC’s other occupants, an adult and a juvenile, were also injured and had to be transported, according to the news release.
