IDAHO FALLS – An explosion that occurred early Friday morning that caused significant damage to a law office in the 500 block of 9th Street is under investigation. There are no suspects at this time. According to reports, firefighters and law enforcement responded to a structure fire at Swafford and Ward Law Firm, located at 925 9th St., around 12:44 a.m. It was determined that the fire was a result of a homemade bomb intentionally set off at the front door of the law office. Idaho Falls Regional Bomb Squad Technicians and Idaho Falls Police Department Investigators responded to the scene. The explosion also caused damage to an adjacent residence in the 800 block of Flora Circle. There were no reported injuries.
