(IDAHO FALLS) – A 23-year-old is recovering in jail after he held an Idaho Falls family against its will. Josue Andres Rodriguez approached the home of David Elliott and Megan Jardine Tuesday night and asked to use a phone. He then followed the couple into their apartment and asked for money. A fight ensued and Jardine crawled out a bedroom window with her 2-year-old daughter. Elliott was able to place the Rodriguez in a chokehold and he was unconscious and battered when police arrived. Rodriguez was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on kidnapping and burglary charges.
