Prisons to Get More State Funding

(BOISE) – Idaho’s prisons could get 7 percent more money next year. The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee approved a $202 million budget Tuesday, a 7 percent general fund increase. Most of the money will cover increases in the cost of the state’s contracts with a private prison contractor.
