Idaho Native Dies In Shootout With Police

(PORTLAND) – A man from Eastern Idaho has died after a shootout with police in Portland. Santiago Cisneros III was a former Idaho State University student and worked at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center until 2001. The 32-year-old was killed Monday after shooting at police officers, who returned fire.  Cisneros  was an Iraq war veteran and had previously spoken to a Washington television station about the difficulty of living with post-traumatic stress disorder. Cisneros grew up in Idaho.  The Oregonian reported he attended colleges in Portland and Seattle  and worked as a legal intern at a Seattle law firm.
