Wild Animal Stored At Restaurant Found Legal

(POCATELLO) – The Southeastern Idaho Public Health department is assuring local diners that a Pocatello restaurant is safe despite a wild animal being stored in a freezer. Public health officials say the owners of Bamboo Garden Restaurant had temporarily stored a coyote wrapped in plastic in a freezer separate from food. Turns out, storing wild game in restaurants is legal as long as they don’t come into contact with food or food preparation facilities. The coyote was removed and a health department spokesman says no other wild game was found and the restaurant was cleared to stay open.
