(BOISE) – Idaho is among the last states still waiting for a waiver from the No Child Left Behind requirements. The Associated Press is reporting that the US Department of Education found Idaho’s alternative plan did not put enough emphasis on graduation rates and may not protect low-performing students. Idaho officials have tweaked the plan but the state remains one of only five still under review. About thirty states have had their waivers approved.
