(BOISE) – Convicted death row inmate Richard Leavitt is running out of options after his clemency hearing request was denied Tuesday night. His scheduled execution is now five days away. The Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole denied Leavitt’s clemency hearing request and declined to make a recommendation to Gov.”Butch” Otter on granting the hearing. Leavitt is scheduled to die by lethal injection Tuesday for the 1984 murder of Danete Elg in Blackfoot.
