Medical Marijuana, Animal Cruelty Measures Fail to Reach Ballot

(BOISE) – Two measures will not be put to voters this fall. The animal rights group, Idaho 1 of 3, failed to gather enough signatures to trigger a ballot initiative to make a first offense for animal cruelty a felony. And, a group seeking to legalize medical marijuana also failed to gather the required signatures. The group says it’s looking for a lawmaker to sponsor a medical marijuana bill in next year’s Legislature.
