INL Director Suspends Risky Activities at Complex

(IDAHO FALLS) – The director of the Idaho National Lab has suspended all high-risk activities at the Materials and Fuels Complex. The Post Register is reporting the suspension includes radiological work and most research. The decision was made after an incident Monday when a 3,000 pound component was dropped from a crane near an employee. The more than 800 people who work at the complex will undergo intense safety training in the coming weeks.
