(BOISE) - Idaho Power Co. will ask state regulators for permission to raise the rates of residential customers’ rates by an average of $3.56 a month. Company officials say the rate increase will pay for a new natural gas power plant nearing construction. The company filed with the state’s Public Utilities Commission Tuesday.
