(IDAHO FALLS) – The man charged in the stabbing death of Buck Garner on Christmas Day pleaded not guilty Tuesday. A judge told Joseph Manuel Chavez the charges carry a possible sentence of ten years to life. Garner’s mother Lisa tells Local News 8 she is struggling to find peace after her son’s violent death. Chavez will be back in court in May. Six other defendants also face charges related to Garner’s stabbing.
