(BOISE) – An Idaho Falls lawmaker is again calling for a moratorium on wind power development in the state. Republican Rep. Erik Simpson has introduced legislation to halt wind energy projects for two years. A similar effort failed in last year’s legislature after lawmakers agreed rapid development of wind farms was a cause for concern but decided to leave the decisions up to counties to decide.
