(IDAHO FALLS) – A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison for statutory rape but the judge recommended a rider program. According to the Post Register, Issah A-Jalil Kappiah of Ghana pleaded guilty to statutory rape after he had sex with a 17-year-old girl in May. The 120-day rider program means he will be placed in a therapeutic environment and could receive probation for the remainder of his sentence if completed successfully.
