(WASHINGTON) – An Idaho lawmaker and US Attorney General Eric Holder had a heated exchange on Capitol Hill Thursday. Idaho Congressman Raul Labrador is on a House committee asking questions about Operation Fast and Furious, which allowed people to buy illegal weapons and take them into Mexico. Labrador did not hide his outrage and asked for Holder’s resignation.
Holder fired back at the Idaho lawmaker and said it was “one of the worst things” he has ever seen in Congress. Lawmakers are considering contempt charges against Holder. On Wednesday, the family of border agent Brian Terry, who was killed 13 months ago, filed a $25 million lawsuit against the government.
