(BOISE) – Officials in charge of a state endowment to help prevent underage smoking plan to request spending $5.7 million of Idaho Millennium Fund money. Twelve programs requested funds for services to prevent youth from smoking. Lawmakers voted to allow the appropriations including $2 million for the Department of Health and Welfare and $400,000 for public health districts.
