(JEFFERSON COUNTY) – A new survey shows more Idaho teens have thought about suicide but physical violence among teens is down. Overall, 15 percent of Idaho teens surveyed said they had seriously considered suicide. Drug use was also up. But the numbers who said they had been engaged in a physical altercation had fallen since 2009. While the survey doesn’t give districts specific information, Rigby Superintendent Ron Tolman tells KIFI the survey benefits educators. State education officials released the results of the Idaho Youth Risk Behavior Study Wednesday.
