Whether it’s cheer-leading or football the fall sports season is well underway for many kids. And, without precautions, many of them could be vulnerable to injuries. Pediatric sports-medicine expert Dr. Nicholas Edwards advises young athletes to know their limits.
And, he’s encouraging athletes not to overlook safety equipment. Other advice? Drink plenty of fluids, take frequent breaks in hot weather, and evaluate any injuries to find out if, and when, they’re ready to get back on the field.
