State Education Board Begins ‘Students Come First’ Implementation

The Idaho State Board of Education is meeting in east Idaho this week. Chairman Spokesman Mark Browning spoke with Local News8 about one of the board’s items of business: a new controversial reform, Students Come First, part of which is to require two online courses for high school credit.

Even though the reforms face a referendum next year, Browning says the new laws are being implemented.

The board will meet Wednesday and Thursday on the Idaho State University campus in Pocatello.
