Former gubernatorial candidate Rex Rammell was in court Wednesday and pleaded guilty to charges connected to alleged jury tampering.Earlier this year Rammell was accused of passing out fliers to members of the jury pool before a hearing for his elk poaching charges. He could have faced much more serious felony jury tampering charges, so he decided to accept a deal from prosecutors. The charge was reduced to misdemeanor criminal contempt. Rammell will be on probation for nine months and was given a suspended 90-day jail sentence. If Rammell complies with all the terms of his probation, he could have the conviction removed from his record.
