Skype has finally released an app for the iPad, allowing your Apple tablet to video and voice chat with other macs, PCs and more.
Similar to Skype for the iPhone, everything works on both WiFi and 3G, but one big difference is the ability to instant message during a video call.
It has a very familiar look and feel to the desktop version and the functionality is very similar as well. You can view it in portrait or landscape mode, you can access recent conversations and you can start conversations within your current chat. Overall, the opinion is that it feels like a souped-up version of the iPhone release.
You can snag Skype for your iPad in the iTunes store.
